§ 1117. Compelling person to marry

Any person who takes any person against his or her will, and by force, menace or duress, compels him or her to marry him or her to marry any other person, is guilty of a felony punishable by a term of imprisonment not to exceed three (3) years or by imposition of a fine in and amount not to exceed Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000), or by both such fine an imprisonment.
